Costa Rica Yoga & Surf Retreat

Playa Azul, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

April 12-18, 2026

We’re going to Costa Rica! Join us for a 7-day yoga and surf retreat on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, in the heart of one of the world’s five Blue Zones—regions known for their vibrant, intentional living and deep connection to nature, community, and well-being. Our home for the week is Playa Azul, a peaceful beachfront resort nestled between jungle and sea.

Connection is at the heart of everything we do—connection to self, to each other, and to the world around us. In Playa Azul, surrounded by the warmth of the sun, the sea, and the pura vida spirit, we soften into presence and begin to remember what it feels like to truly belong. Through shared experiences, intentional movement, nourishing meals, and time in nature, we create space to meet each other soul-to-soul.

Mornings begin with vinyasa yoga by the ocean, followed by days filled with surf, sunshine, and rest. A daily surfboard rental is included, along with one group surf lesson. We’ll also enjoy a sunset catamaran sail and a guided horseback ride along the beach, both included in your stay. Throughout the week, you’ll be invited to deepen your yoga practice in new and meaningful ways through asana, thoughtful workshops, and discussions designed to enrich your understanding and experience. Evenings are for slow dinners, sound healing, restorative movement, and watching sunsets together—sharing laughter, stories, and quiet moments by the sea.

Our retreats are for everyone - from yoga and surf beginners to experienced practitioners and teachers. We aim to provide a diverse experience that will meet you exactly where you are. All yoga and surf sessions are always optional, and if you’ve never surfed before - you won’t be the only one! Surfing is incorporated as a fun way to try something new and be close to the ocean - there’s no pressure and certainly no experience needed. Whether you are looking for power yoga, slow stretches, or a more spiritually based practice, there is something for everyone.

Come solo or with a friend—our retreats are spacious, grounded, and welcoming. Every offering is optional, allowing you to curate your own experience.

  • On our retreats, we embrace a spirit of balance, mindfulness, and respect for ourselves and one another. While we understand that some guests may wish to enjoy a drink during their stay, we kindly ask that alcohol be consumed in moderation and with intention. Our primary focus is on yoga, rest, and wellness — and as such, we encourage everyone to be mindful of how alcohol can affect your body, your practice, and the shared experience of the group. We ask that all guests indulge responsibly and remain considerate of others at all times. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM. After this time, we ask that noise be kept to a minimum, especially in shared villas and common areas. Please be respectful of your roommates and fellow guests who may be resting or seeking solitude. Let’s co-create a peaceful and rejuvenating environment for everyone.

  • We have a scholarship program to help make our experiences accessible. We have one scholarship available on each of our retreats. If cost is a significant barrier for you, or if the currency of your home country coverts unfavorably into USD, send us an email and we’ll reach out with details on how to apply.

If you feel your heart pulling you toward this retreat but aren't quite ready to commit, we’d love to answer any questions or set up a call to chat!
