Wave X Swell Golden Hour Flow was one of those experiences I know I’m going to remember for a long time… I wasn’t completely sure how I was going to feel walking into a new environment and practicing with people I didn’t really know, but that disappeared pretty quickly. The entire evening felt welcoming, comfortable and thoughtfully put together. The location was beautiful, we happened to get an incredible night, and the music worked perfectly with the energy of the flow… At the end of the practice, having the cool towel placed on my head and just being able to lie there and decompress was amazing. Someone from the team came around during that final relaxation and gently helped release the tension in my shoulders. I don’t even know who it was, but that small moment stood out to me. After a strong flow, it was such a simple, calming way to finish the evening… I left feeling grounded, calm and mentally clearer, grateful that I went and grateful for the experience.. We had the most beautiful spot looking out on the water, the music, and audio was the perfect volume.   • Julia Morrison

    Julia, founder of Wave Yoga Retreats, is an RYT 500hr yoga & meditation teacher who specializes in curating yoga retreats around the world. Julia teaches many styles of yoga, from hot power vinyasa to meditation and yin yoga, and leads multiple immersive yoga retreats each year around the world. Julia’s teaching style involves challenging flows and creative sequencing with a focus on the union of the mind and body through the breath. Julia has studied yoga in Bali, India, and throughout the US, and her classes blend her love for embodied movement and yoga philosophy.

  • Kameryn King

    Kameryn is the founder and owner of Swell, our favorite açaí and smoothie shop located on Main Street in Old Saybrook. Built around a shared love of wellness, good food, and community, Swell has become a space that brings people together. Kameron and the Swell team collaborate with Wave for events throughout the year, helping us dream up experiences that combine movement, nourishment, and genuine connection. From post-yoga smoothies on the beach to seasonal gatherings like this one, we love creating alongside a local business that shares our belief that wellness is better when it’s experienced together.
