VERMONT
Stannard, Vermont
yoga & wellness retreat
October 8-11, 2027
scape to the Green Mountains for four days of movement, connection, and autumn magic. Join us October 8–11, 2027, for an intimate yoga retreat during one of the most beautiful times of year in Vermont, when the mountains come alive with brilliant shades of red, orange, and gold. Set against the backdrop of peak fall foliage season, this long holiday weekend is an invitation to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and experience the magic of autumn in New England.
Surrounded by open meadows, forests, and mountain views, we'll spend our days moving, exploring, resting, and reconnecting with ourselves and one another. Mornings begin with yoga, with practices ranging from creative power vinyasa to slower, more accessible flows. Afternoons leave room for wandering wooded trails, enjoying the crisp autumn air, curling up with a good book, or simply doing nothing at all. Evenings bring us together for nourishing meals, restorative practices, meaningful ceremonies and conversations, and moments of connection beneath the stars. Throughout the weekend, we'll weave together yoga, meditation, philosophy, and intentional rituals that invite you to explore a little deeper. Every offering is optional, giving you the freedom to create the experience you need - whether that's movement and adventure, quiet reflection, meaningful connection, or a little bit of everything. Led by Wave founder and yoga teacher Julia Morrison, this retreat is thoughtfully curated to feel deeply nourishing and unapologetically joyful. Expect delicious meals, beautiful surroundings, new friendships, and all the little moments that make a weekend away unforgettable.
Our local retreats are some of the most intimate and magical experiences we offer. There's something special about gathering with a small group of people, leaving the usual routines behind, and discovering just how much can happen in a few days together. Come as you are. Whether this is your first retreat or your fifth, there's a place for you here. We can't wait to share a piece of Wave in Vermont with you.
The Retreat
Where You’ll Be
Welcome to our little autumn wonderland in the Green Mountains. Tucked among rolling meadows, colorful forests, and sweeping mountain views, our retreat home is a place that feels like stepping into another world. We'll have the entire property to ourselves, including all seven whimsical cottages and the beautiful retreat barn, creating an intimate little village for our weekend together.
Each cottage has its own personality and charm, with cozy spaces to settle into, slow mornings, and quiet corners to call your own. Beyond your cottage, there's so much to explore. Beautiful yoga spaces invite us to move and breathe, the hearth becomes a gathering place for ceremonies and connection, and a meditation gazebo offers a peaceful spot to turn inward. Wander the trails, find a favorite place to read, watch the autumn colors change in the afternoon light, or gather around the bonfire beneath the stars.
There's a sense of playfulness and wonder woven throughout the property, with little spaces to discover and room for both solitude and togetherness. It's the kind of place where you can spend an entire weekend without ever wanting to leave.
Throughout our stay, we'll share delicious, nourishing meals made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, gathering around the table for good food, meaningful conversations, and plenty of laughter. From morning yoga to evenings by the fire, every corner of this special place invites you to slow down, settle in, and savor the magic of being here.

Yoga
Enjoy the option of two vinyasa classes each morning: one of our signature power classes and one of our all levels flows right after. Every practice is optional - so you can truly make it your own, whether you want a sweaty challenge or mindful movement.
In the evenings we always offer a slower practice, either a slow flow vinyasa, or a floor based practice like restorative or yin, coupled with sound healing. All classes incorporate incense, curated playlists, essential oils, extra loving adjustments & assists, and lavender eye pillows in savasana for that dreamy out of body post yoga feeling.
Nature
Nature is not just the backdrop of our retreat—it’s an essential part of the experience. Fall is the perfect time to visit the mountains of Vermont, and we’ll spend as much time outdoors as we do in the studio. This immersion in the natural world grounds us, softens us, and reminds us of the rhythms we so easily forget. Just as yoga calls us to union, nature calls us home—to presence, to peace, and to the profound stillness that exists within and all around us.
Community
The profound nature of the experiences shared on our retreats organically foster meaningful, lasting connections. The depth of conversation that naturally unfolds amongst high vibrational, like minded hearts is at the core of our retreats. You’ll meet people ready to go deeper, people ready for more. The word yoga means union, of course the union of the mind and body, but even deeper than that - it is the union of the individual with the universe, which begins with our connection to one another.

Founder & Retreat Leader
Julia Morrison
Julia is the founder of Wave Yoga Retreats, a yoga teacher, and a lifelong student of the practice. With more than eight retreats across six countries behind her, she's learned that the most meaningful experiences aren't always the ones that take us the farthest from home.
Some of the most magical and intimate retreats we offer happen right here in New England. There's something extraordinary about a weekend spent slowing down together - with mornings that begin with movement, long meals around a shared table, conversations that go a little deeper, and the kind of laughter that comes when everyone feels completely at ease.
Julia brings her love of yoga philosophy, creative movement, and meaningful connection into everything she creates. Her retreats are an invitation to explore what's happening within us while remembering to enjoy the beautiful, ordinary experience of being alive.
Our Vermont retreats hold a particularly special place in the heart of Wave. They're a reminder that we don't always have to travel across the world to experience something that stays with us long after we return home.

ABSOLUTELY. Wave retreats are the perfect place for solo travelers. You’ll meet and connect with a group of like minded people, and find lasting friendships along the way. We’ll make a WhatsApp group before the trip, where we’ll all introduce ourselves, connect with roommates if booking shared rooms, and potentially plan to travel together if you’d like!
-
Absolutely! We love having couples on our retreats. We’d love to have your partner join any yoga classes they want to, but they can also just hang out, join for meals and excursions, and make the trip their own!
Couples can book individually at the shared room price, and have a private room for the two of them.
-
If you’re thinking about extending your trip, there are plenty of beautiful ways to explore more of Vermont before or after the retreat. Our retreat venue is only available for the dates of the retreat, but we are happy to recommend nearly Airbnbs and hotels.

While alcoholic beverages are not included in the retreat package, guests are welcome to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner or a drink by the fire at the end of the evening. We simply ask that guests refrain from consuming alcohol before yoga classes, meditations, and ceremonies, and that excessive alcohol consumption be avoided throughout the retreat.
Our intention is to create a space where everyone feels comfortable, connected, and respected. We ask all guests to be mindful of one another and the shared experience.
Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM, and we ask that noise be kept low, especially in shared rooms and common areas, so everyone can rest and recharge. Let's co-create a joyful, grounded, and respectful space for all!
